LEGO

LEGO
LEGO derives its name from the Danish words that mean “play well.” The company was created in 1932 by Ole Kirk Kristiansen and is still one of the bestselling makers of toys. One of their fastest selling products is the LEGO bricks.
With the various building sets the company offers, kids can have hours of imaginative, creative fun. The great thing about LEGO toys is that the company’s creations fit such a wide age range.
Each of the toys is geared toward a certain age group. You might see ages 5-12 on one toy and 6-12 on another. If you’re looking for LEGO toys for babies, you would want to look for the blocks that are baby safe such as the Mega Bloks First Builders Big Building Bag.
This is an 80 piece set that’s suitable for kids 12 months up to 5 years old. This set is one of their oldest selling sets yet, is still immensely popular. You can also buy LEGO sets according to the number of blocks the set contains.
If the sets are for smaller children, they may contain less blocks like the LEGO DUPLO My First Number Train Building Set 10558 which has ten of the numbered bricks along with an assortment of unnumbered bricks.
You’ll see some sets with 25 or less blocks, while other more advanced sets can contain more than 1,000 pieces. LEGO continues to produce quality sets that are popular with both boys and girls.
There are plenty of newer sets to choose from. The LEGO Minecraft The Cave 21113 playset is one of the company’s latest offerings. It has a total of 249 pieces and includes a zombie, a treasure chest, lava, TNT and more. This set does fit with other LEGO sets.
With 292 pieces, the LEGO Disney Princess Elsa’s Sparkling Ice Castle is a lot of fun for any child who loved the movie. The set includes the sparkling castle along with the glittering wall pieces, Queen Elsa and her sister Anna. Olaf the snowman is also included. The set contains a bed, a sleigh with an ice hill, capes, a tiara and an ice cream bar.
The LEGO Minecraft 21117 The Ender Dragon is new and features 634 pieces. It comes with the Steve minifigure. Accessories included in the set are weapons and defensive gear such as the helmet and armor, a sand island with an Ender Dragon and egg, three Endermen, crystals and pillar pieces.
The LEGO Movie Batman and Super Angry Kitty Attack Block is for kids from 6-12. The 115 piece set includes flick missiles, a batarang, a grapnel gun and minifigures (these are a Skeletron, Batman and Super Angry Kitty).
